2004

*October 14th & 15th, we attended the Siberian Husky National Specialty in Greenville, SC.  We were at the Siberian Husky Health Foundation's booth and doing a book signing.  We sold 31 books in the short amount of time that we were there!! Met so many wonderful people.  It was so very exciting!!  Go to http://2004.shcanationals.org/ for details.

Hi gang !! I wanted to share some pictures that friends of ours took at the Siberian Husky Nationals and take you along for a whirlwind visit of where we were and the incredible experience of a lifetime filled with over 800 Siberian huskies all in one place.  I will let the pictures speak for themselves.  We had a ball and again sold 31 copies of Grizz's Story in between taking in the splendor of these wonderful and magnificently beautiful furry companions.  We only spent 2 days there and wish that we could have been there the whole week.  We shared lots of hugs, tears and tons of smoozles from these sweet furbabies.  I hope that you enjoy the pictures.  It was so funny because Siberians LOVE to sing as many of you know and one would start to sing and the song would progress throughout the entire grounds kind of like the "wave" at the football games and the echo could be heard long after the initial song.  It was haunting and yet so beautiful to hear them all in unison.  It was similar to the song of their wild cousins, the wolves, with their majestic melodic song and it was absolutely breathtaking...   It truly was a trip of a lifetime. Hugs,  Jo

Toys

Experts agree that it's a good idea to use toys designed for dogs. That means you shouldn't let your dog play with small objects, such as little plastic crab and salamander children's toys, which Rozanski extracted from one dog's stomach. "They looked interesting on the radiographs," Rozanski says but they could have become life-threatening obstructions in the dog's digestive tract later on.
